Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use FriendZone. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission.

You may only create one account. Accounts are not transferable.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorised it.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for an extended period.

3. Acceptable Use

FriendZone is a platform for real social connection. You agree not to use it to:

• Post content that is illegal, abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or obscene
• Impersonate another person or create a false identity
• Spam other users or send unsolicited messages in bulk
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent events
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from FriendZone using automated tools
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Use FriendZone for commercial purposes, advertising, or solicitation without our written consent
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

We may remove content that violates these rules and suspend or terminate accounts without notice.

4. Content You Post

You retain ownership of the content you post on FriendZone, including events, photos, and messages. By posting content, you grant FriendZone a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the app.

You represent that you have the right to post any content you share, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

We do not pre-screen content but reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

5. Events & RSVPs

Event organisers are responsible for the accuracy of their event listings, including date, time, location, and description. FriendZone is not responsible for any event that is cancelled, changed, or does not meet your expectations.

RSVPs on FriendZone are expressions of intent, not binding commitments. Attendance caps set by organisers are enforced on a first-come, first-served basis.

6. Tap In Stories

Tap In stories are ephemeral and expire automatically based on the duration you select. Once expired, they are permanently deleted. You should not rely on Tap Ins for permanent storage of photos or content.

By posting a Tap In visible to your followers, you consent to those followers viewing your content during the active period.

7. Direct Messages & Crews

Messages sent through FriendZone are private communications between users. You agree not to use messaging features to harass, threaten, or spam other users.

While we do not routinely read private messages, we may access them if required by law or to investigate serious violations of these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

FriendZone and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by FriendZone and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app without our express written permission.

The FriendZone name, logo, and brand marks are trademarks of FriendZone. You may not use them without written permission.

9. Third-Party Services

FriendZone integrates with third-party services including Apple, Google, Twilio, and Google Maps. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

10. Disclaimers

FriendZone is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

We are not responsible for the actions, content, or conduct of other users. Use common sense and stay safe when meeting people in person.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FriendZone shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, personal injury, or property damage.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or £100 if you have not made any payments).

12. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. Continued use of FriendZone after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent changes were made.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
